hello, today 29/12/2023 i'm using brand new tableau 2023.3 i'm oftenly using hierarchy feature when i'm using the identity such as region, state, zip code etc while building a dashboard with tabular mode display. hierarchy is helpful feature, it can be simply the dasbhoard and it can make clean dashboard, so the complex dashboard can be simple and clean style. complex dashbaord need some other feature such as parameter as inputed variable from user, so imagine when i am working with 2 identity like outgoing identity and imcoming identity and it has different value each other. it would be nice when it is controlled by paramter, so user can be easily to choose value whether it is coming from outgoing or incoming value. but here the issue: tableau can not use hierarchy as value on parameter calculation field imagine i have 4 level hierarchy, such as like country>region>state>zipcode i must make at least 4 parameter calculation field: parameter calculation field for co...

hello, today is 28th december 2023, im using brand new tableau 2023.3 i'm oftenly using parameter on my dashboard, paramter is used for variable inputed coming from user, but this is real question is? who is the user? since tableau can do separate role user perfectly, which can adapt the display with what the user on (it is called user filter) role user access i'm thinking that tableau should upgrade the future, the idea is: paramter can control by specific user otherwise it would be default value, example of boolean value coming from parameter It is importanting tableau to do becasue the feature that tableau can do already awesome, but it would be more perfect if the specific user can set the value of parameter, so the goal is specific user can set the value and specific user can not do it. it would be more efficient for developer, so developer must not use extenal source data (such as like spread sheet) to update data as variable for specific role/user  thank you,  Bnadung, ...

today is november 17th, 2023 im using brand new tableau 2023.2 i'm oftenly using grand total on analytics tab, for whowing sub grand total/ grand total/ even row grand total when i'm dealing with tableaur mode visualization. but here the issue it is so hard to ginfuring out the exclude grand total, developer nmut go into analyticvs tab and then go in total and then uncheckist the grand total for mute the grand total, imagine how far it is right? how to mute the grand total column right click on the grand total so here tthe idea: there is a optional unchekcinlist (mute) the grand total) when right click on the grand total cell itself, so the developer must not go in to analytse tab.. i'm consider this one issue because tableau is enough expensive for 75$  per minth thank you!

hello today 8/11/2023, This is using brand new tableau 2023.2 When facing up tabular mode, sometimes need to display all the column into fit 1 table. tabular visual mode is the easiest way to understanding about the data, it is like the cell on the excel/ spreadsheet, so familiar to users who consume it, but there is a problem, here the issue:  horizontal bar When building a new dashboard with a lot of fields, users must look until the bottom line to reach the horizontal scroll bar so they can see another field. this is the idea: On the next update, it can move the scroll bar either horizontal or vertical to the top or to the left same like the grand total which can change position from bottom to top grand total bottom position and top position credit: your exellency, my teammate Atina Za'ima Rasyida 😇for catching the issue thank you!
